Devon golf ace Jake Burnage (Saunton GC) has won the prestigious 2017 South of England Open Amateur Championship at Walton Heath in Surrey.
England international Burnage finished 11 under pipping Jack Yule (Kings Lynn GC) by one stroke after 72 holes over the New and Old courses at Walton Heath.

Cornwall’s cricketers are in a strong position after the opening day of their Minor Counties Championship game against Shropshire at St Austell CC.
Despite losing a couple of early wickets Cornwall recovered well to make 349-5 in 90 overs.
