More than 17,900 sports nuts on a daily basis?

You have come to the right place.

Devon-based journalist Ross Reid started South West Sports News because he felt hockey was not achieving the media profile it deserved despite boasting national league teams in South West England and South Wales.

"I realised other grassroots regional sports (teams) were not receiving the high profile publicity they warranted," he says.

It is now a South West Sports News mission to freely raise the profile of as many of the region's dedicated sportspeople as possible.

The site has grown organically from its April, 2008 infancy to what you see before you. No more, no less, no bull.

From the start Reid has ensured that SWSN has defied convention.

Our website posts pro-active positive South West sports news on the front page every day.

Big sports clubs have their own excellent websites and now – with the advent of twitter – smaller clubs, solo athletes and their supporters also have a voice. We listen, and engage with thousands of sports fans and hundreds of community sports clubs on a daily basis.

Our dedicated team want to ensure ALL sportspeople have a chance to amplify their positive thoughts about sport in South West England & South Wales via an independent community sports hub.

We don’t have to shout about what makes South West Sports News special because you can see for yourself by looking around the site and imagining the specialist sports market you reach by teaming up with us.

We are happy to tailor SWSN advertising packages to suit your needs but want to talk first about your requirements before discussing our competitive rates.
