Plymouth Argyle first team coach Kevin Nancekivell lauded the greens never-say-die attitude as Julio Pleguezuelo’s stoppage time goal secured a 2-2 home draw with West rivals Bristol City in front of 17,000 at rainswept Home Park.

Nancekivell said he was “pleased with a point, thought we deserved it. We had the better of the first half. Bristol City had the better of the second half so I was delighted when we came back.”

Wayne Rooney remains positive despite Plymouth Argyle slipping to the bottom of the Championship following a thrilling 3-3 home draw with sixth placed Middlesbrough.

Head coach Rooney said: “It’s tight down there there’s quite a few teams, at the moment we’re almost in a mini-league. From our point of view we have to keep performing like we have in the last three and we will win games.”

Bristol Rovers have been drawn away to high-flying FAWNL Southern Premier side Oxford United in the Womens FA Cup third round on Sunday December 8.

Rovers are fourth in their first season in FA Womens National League Division One South West following last season's promotion as regional South West Womens League champions.
