Plymouth Argyle’s reward for a cupset at Brentford is a home fourth round FA Cup tie against Premier League leaders Liverpool next month.

Morgan Whittaker’s superb 82^nd minute winner in west London ensures another cup meeting with the reds, who won a third round replay at Home Park 1-0 in January 2017 following a goalless draw at Anfield.

Victory at Brentford was the greens first away win since April last year against a side boasting the second best home record in the top flight. Liverpool top that table as well.

League One Exeter City, who upset Argyle’s Championship rivals Oxford United 3-1 despite trailing after 14 minutes, are rewarded with another home tie.

City, through to the fourth round for the first time in 44 years, will now host Nottingham Forest, third in the Premier League.

Bournemouth, who eased past West Brom 4-1, travel to Premier rivals Everton.

Premier League basement side Southampton host second placed Championship outfit Burnley while Cardiff City return to Stoke, having drawn 2-2 in their Championship clash in Staffordshire last month.

Ties due to be played between February 7-10.
