Torquay United boss Martin Ling is confident target man Rene Howe will be fit to start against in-form Burton Albion at Plainmoor on Saturday (1500ko).
Striker Howe – also in form after scoring his fourth of the season in Tuesday’s 1-0 win at AFC Wimbledon – jarred his knee during the game and is not training today.

Devon golf professional Laura Hendriksen clinched her third Order of Merit title when she triumphed in the final WPGA One Day Series event of the year at Little Aston Golf Club.
Hendriksen - representing Torquay’s Palace Hotel - topped the leaderboard on one-under-par 73.

Cheltenham opened the new national Men’s Hockey League season with a 4-0 West Conference win over Team Bath Buccaneers at Balcarras.
James Astley (15mins) Alex Hay (23, 41pc) and Will Pearce (31pc) got Cheltenham off to a flying start against new-look Buccs, who topped the division last term but have had a summer turnover of players.
