Exeter City have completed the re-registration of midfielder David Noble, who will be available to play for Paul Tisdale's Grecians when Northampton Town visit St James Park in League Two on Saturday.
Noble rejoined Exeter from Oldham Athletic on a 93-day emergency loan in September, having previously been on the books at City between 2010 and 2012. That loan spell and his contract with the Latics ended the day after Exeter’s 2-0 home win against Carlisle United last month.
The registration window didn’t open in time for Noble to be eligible for Exeter’s game against Accrington Stanley, the fourth game in a row the 32-year-old playmaker has had to watch from the sidelines.
Former Bristol City playmaker Noble has also spent loan spells at Cheltenham Town and Yeovil Town.
City also completed signing of former Northampton midfielder Alex Nicholls today. The 27-year-old is set to face his former club on Saturday.
• Exeter City teenage striker Ollie Watkins' loan spell at Conference South side Weston-super-Mare FC has been extended for a second month until February 7.
South Devon born Watkins, 19, scored Sunday's 48th minute opener as Ryan Northmore's Seagulls beat Sutton United 3-2 at Woodspring Stadium to soar out of the bottom two up to 18th ahead of Saturday's home tester against sxth placed Chelmsford City.
• Torquay United release central defender Jake Hutchings, 19.
• Sherborne Town midfielder Lewis Morgan has signed on dual registration forms for Dorchester Town FC and goes into the Magpies squad for tomorrow night's Southern League Premier clash at Frome Town.
