Experienced midfielder David Fox has bid farewell to Plymouth Argyle after three years at the club and over 140 appearances in green.The popular 35 year old pass master has a young family and made a regular pilgrimage to Plymouth from his home in Manchester during the football seasons since joining Argyle in July 2016.

English County finalists Somerset held hosts Dorset to a draw to finally get off the mark in the matchplay rounds at Parkstone.Following back to back defeats Somerset halved the morning singles 4-4 and the afternoon foursomes to put a brake on table-topping Dorset's winning start.

Somerset - skippered by James Ward - responded from back to back matchplay defeats at Parkstone by soaring to English County Finals qualification by a long shot.The reds team of Craig Adams, Jonathan Grace, Tom Plumb, Tom Sloman, Tom Trowbridge and Phil White returned 14 under par 850 with morning and afternoon totals of 425.
