Cornwall Ladies County Golf Association made the most of home advantage to beat Wiltshire 8 ½- ½ on the opening day of South West Inter Counties Match Week at Trevose Golf & Country Club.
Today Cornwall play host to Dorset, beaten 5 ½ - 3 ½ by Devon yesterday.

Taunton Town have appointed Devon-based Leigh Robinson as new manager of their Southern League Division One South & West side.
Robinson takes over the Peacocks managerial reins after successful spells at Wellington and Bridgwater Town.

Somerset’s amateur aces teed off 2012 South Western Counties Golf Association Championship Week at Cumberwell Park Golf Club with a big 10 ¼ - 3 ¾ win over Dorset yesterday.
Today Somerset pit their wits against Devon (0915 & 1400) in the second round of the week-long Match Play Shield contest.

The Hawkey Cup semi final draw pits St Austell against Gorran at Wheal Eliza and Callington against holders Werrington at New Road on Wednesday June 13 (1800).
Paul Smith smashed a match-winning boundary off the final ball as Werrington beat east Cornwall visitors Looe-Menheniot at Ladycross.
