Gloucestershire completed a remarkable fifth consecutive women’s England Golf South West County Match Week title success on home fairways at Minchinhampton New golf course yesterday.
The host county can boast a tremendous run in the inter-counties regional week - staged at Yeovil last summer - having topped the leaderboard on the last four occasions to qualify as South West representatives at the annual women’s England Golf County Finals.

Torquay United have appointed former Mansfield Town boss Paul Cox, 43 as the new Gulls first team manager.
Cox arrives at the Launa Windows Stadium following great success as manager of Eastwood Town and then Mansfield, earning the Stags a return to the Football League two seasons ago.

The first round draw for the Capital One Cup has thrown up some intriguing ties for South West-based Football League clubs notably with Darrell Clarke’s newly promoted Bristol Rovers FC hosting Birmingham City FC and Paul Sturrock’s Yeovil Town FC at home to Queens Park Rangers FC.
