British Summer Time which also marks the beginning of big changes for us here at South West Sports News.Today is our 11th birthday, the start of our 12th year.
It’s time to set new goals.
Rather than rest on our laurels I am more excited than ever about what we can achieve as each season goes by and word spreads about our amazing sports-mad team.
When South West Sports News launched we had only one purpose: to help family and friends promote their sport.
That vision has not changed but our following has.
Our audience has, growing organically, exponentially year on year from hundreds to thousands.
Now – thanks to social media and those original, lovely family and friends – we have become gamechangers.

Through over 12 years of hard graft - and more hard graft - I am proud to say on the eve of another landmark anniversary, South West Sports News has become a go-to for thousands of you, wonderfully crazy sports fans.
And – personally – I couldn’t be happier.
Because it drives the team on...
Makes us more creative...
Inspires us...
Means we have more meetings with ambitious athletes, clubs, colleges, schools... and national governing bodies.
Recently we received a wonderful word-of-mouth recommendation from someone who has been involved in south west sport all their life – and knows us – that we are the go-to team to help promote another of the region’s rising sports stars to a wider, national audience.
It’s what we do.
It’s makes us tick.
It drives us on.
