The Bristol Buccaneers will play in the South West Baseball League (SWBL) from April lining-up against sister team Bristol Bats, as well as teams from Cardiff, Exeter, Newton Abbot, Plymouth, Truro, Yeovil and Weston-super-Mare.
The club’s two SWBL teams join the Badgers, who will once again be competing in the British Baseball Federation’s (BBF) AA league.
Bristol will be the only baseball club in the region running more than one team and aiming to win both BBF and SWBL titles.
Bristol Baseball head coach Rhodri Theaker said: “We have been delighted with the number of new players that have joined the club since the end of last season.
“The quality is really good and it’s also pleasing we have a number of women and young players already signed up.”
