An exciting mixed Bath Rugby XV of youth and experience starts against Harlequins at the Twickenham Stoop tomorrow night in the LV= Cup (ko 1945).
Devonian Lee Mears will captain the side at hooker, with Charlie Beech and Anthony Perenise either side of him in the front row. Dominic Day and Dave Attwood renew their second-row partnership, while Academy back-row Will Skuse and Guy Mercer are joined by no 8 Simon Taylor.
Academy scrum-half Chris Cook forges a new half-back partnership with Stephen Donald as Tom Biggs and Kyle Eastmond fly back onto the wings. Ben Williams starts at inside centre with fit-again Matt Banahan moving to outside centre, as 19-year-old Ollie Devoto starts at full back.
Semesa Rokoduguni – who scored two tries in the 36-15 opening cup win over Newport Gwent Dragons – starts on the Bath bench alongside highly-rated young fly half Tom Heathcote, who kicked 21 points against Dragons, and on-loan Munster prop Alan Cotter.
Michael Claassens is in line to make his 150th appearance for Bath if called into action.
