ISCA HOCKEY LADIES

The undisputed West Clubs Womens League match of the day - if not the season - is tomorrow's Premier One top of the table meeting between second placed Isca and leaders Gloucester (University of Exeter Sports Park, 1100).

After a long and exciting season the title race and promotion chase has come down to the wire - with Isca and Gloucester way out in front.

Alex Bulleid's home side are on 53 points after 20 games in the 22-fixture league season, Gloucester are on 55 points after playing 21 matches.

The teams drew - goalless in Gloucester on Saturday December 12 - at the end of the first half of the season.

Now they meet again, with both sides knowing a win would secure top spot.

A draw would leave both sides waiting on the result of Isca's outstanding game against Swindon.

It's a big day for Isca as the seconds top the South Division and know a win at fourth placed Bridgwater will secure the title and promotion.

Isca 2 are five points clear of second placed Newquay, who have a game in hand.

Isca 3 have no such worries. They head into their final game of the season, at Exeter & Culm Vale Hornets 2, 10 points clear at the top of Sedgemoor Division 2 with promotion already in the bag.
