WOMENS HOCKEY Buckingham claim Conference crown

Unbeaten Buckingham clinched the Women's Conference West title with four games remaining following their 14th successive win, 3-0 over Gloucester City.
Samantha Sandham, Zoe Shipperley and Leanne Grimsley scored for Buckingham, who visit fifth placed Swansea next Saturday (1200).
Swansea were in sparkling form at home to second from bottom Staines, winning 5-0 with goals from Natasha Marks (23 mins) Carys Hopkins (28 pc) Bridget Radice (46 48) and Ellis Davies (58).
Spartans' Welsh international ace Hopkins has now scored nine league goals.
Games went to form with second placed Trojans beating seventh placed Barnes Hounslow Ealing 3-1, third placed Isca University overcoming eighth placed Stourport 3-2 despite trailing 2-1 at half time and sixth placed Firebrands 3-0 winners over basement side Taunton Vale.
Annabel Driver (24pc 54pc) twice levelled for Isca before skipper and top scorer Claire Thomas secured victory in the 64th minute to take her season's tally to 16 goals in 14 league matches.
Sarah Cavendish (12 pc 34) twice put Stourport ahead.
Veteran ace Linda Webb was on target for Firebrands again, opening the scoring on four minutes before Charlotte Tuplin (34) and Abigail Porter (50pc) completed Brands victory.
Hannah Leigh (35) and Sally Gibson (45 61p) scored for Southampton's Trojan. Gibson now has 13 goals in 14 games.
Clifton continued their victory roll with a 4-2 Women's Premier win at University of Birmingham with goals from Aileen Davis (21pc) Els Mansell (39) skipper Fleur Horner (51pc) and Emily Atkinson (70pc).
Sixth placed Clifton face their toughest home test of the season on Saturday when they host leaders Canterbury (1130).
