FA CUP First round draw - tough test for Truro

FA CUP logoTruro City will have to cause an upset to become the first Cornwall football side to reach the FA Cup second round after being drawn away to League One high flyers Charlton Athletic in round one.

Lee Hodges side – on a superb 10-match unbeaten run – are third in National League South, Karl Robinson’s Addicks start today fifth in League One before tonight’s trip to Oxford United.

City’s first foray into the FA Cup first round means their trip to Oxford, City on Saturday November 4 has been postponed.

Bristol Rovers face a tricky tie at League Two leaders Notts County while League One basement side Plymouth Argyle host Grimsby Town, who start today 12th in League Two.

Paul Tisdale’s Exeter City – who start today level on points with Notts County at the League Two summit – will host Isthmian League North side Heybridge Swifts.

Bath City hopes of winning through to the first round ended in a 1-0 4QR replay defeat at Chelmsford City last night.
