ROBINS CRACKS CORNWALL CENTURY

Skipper Tom Sharp is 31 not out and Grampound Road's Chris Hunkin 16 not out after Callington's Matt Robins made a superb century (118) and debutant Thomas Rowe scored 77.

CORNWALL CRICKET ROUND-UP

Truro triumphed in quick time at home to Troon, who were bowled out for 81 with Alex Taylor taking five for 27. Truro replied with 84 for 2.

HAWKEY CUP DISRUPTED BY DOWNPOURS

Werrington beat Menheniot-Looe in the first semi final by 22 runs in between the showers but the second semi final between Newquay and last year's finalists Callington could not start.

SNELL SHINES AS CORNWALL DRAW WITH WALES

Paul's Kelvin Snell scored an unbeaten century and took six wickets on the third and final day as Cornwall drew their home Minor Counties Championship match with Wales at Falmouth CC.

 

Cornwall made 293 in the first innings and then declared at 302-9 opening the door of opportunity for Wales MC to make 321 to win the Western Division clash.
