CORNWALL SET NEW ONE-DAY RECORD

Cornwall broke their highest one-day score record for the second time this year in yesterday’s MCCA Trophy game against Wiltshire at Redruth.

 

The Duchy made 347-5 in their 50 overs with Kevin Parsons making 98, Dan Davis 59, Matt Robins 51 and Matt Rowe 42 not out.

 

Wiltshire replied with 270-9 to leave Cornwall winners by 77 runs. Kelvin Snell took three for 64. Cornwall finished third in the group with Devon and Wales Minor Counties going through to the knock out, quarter final stages.

  

A busy week of cup action gets underway this evening with the first Vinter Cup quarter final seeing Hayle taking on Troon at 1800.
