Yesterday’s Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League bank holiday action saw wins for Callington, St Austell, St Just and Truro.
Defending champions Paul were dismissed for only 99 at home to Callington, who won by eight wickets after reaching 103-2 in 30.4 overs.
Truro are equal top after making 163 all out at Newquay who responded with 110. Kyle Van Rooyen top scored for Truro with 75, Newquay's Tom Eggins took 4-30 and Martin Pearce 3-45. Andrew Fairman 5-32 and Cornwall skipper Tom Sharp 4-20 were in top form with the ball for Truro.
Falmouth were skittled out for 89 in 32.4 overs at home to St Just, who made 91-2 in 18.4 overs.
Grampound Road suffered a second weekend defeat when they were bowled out for 114 at home to St Austell, 118-6.
The game between Werrington and Troon was drawn after a delayed start. Werrington made 262-6 in their 42 overs with Alex Smeeth (112) hitting a century and his brother Ben on 97. Troon hit back with 209-4.
In County Division One the leaders Camborne, 286-5, beat visitors Penzance by 201 runs after openers Kevin Roberts (68) and Nick King (46) made a great start. Ben Rule, 57, and Daniel Stephens, 63 no, both built on that foundation. Penzance were bowled out for 85 in 27.3 overs, Daniel Hocking 3-28.
Redruth (102-3) beat Beacon (101) by seven wickets at Trewirgie.
Opener James Carter scored 108 and took four wickets as Gorran beat visitors Launceston (135) by 156 runs. Jonathon Parsons scored 60 for Launceston before being trapped lbw by Carter (4-21).
Luckett (201-8) beat Hayle (197-6) in a match reduced to 45 overs at Chapel Field while Wadebridge (199-9) beat Roche Old Boys (152) by 47 runs at Trezaise Road.
Neil Richards (47) and Barny Jackson (41no) top scored for Wadebridge. Roche's Lee Tarbuck took 3-41. Adam Brenton hit 43 for the home side, while Jackson took 4-13 and Jake Rowe 3-42.
