A maiden Trophy century from Matt Golding helped Devon to a 14 runs National Counties Cricket win over Cornwall at Redruth.
Golding converted his maiden half century into three figures and shared a third wicket partnership of 173 with Matt Thompson (80).

Devon are without pace bowlers Hugo Whitlock (ankle) and Dan Goodey (side strain) for their Group Two derby match against Cornwall at Redruth.Batsman James Horler has also been released for club duty with Exmouth in the Devon Knock Out Cup. Into the squad come Ned Leonard, who is on Somerset’s staff, Matt Golding and wicketkeeper/batsman Adam Small. Golding has recovered from a shoulder injury which ruled him out of the defeat by Herefordshire.

Wiltshire opened their *NCCA Trophy campaign with a 14 runs victory over Dorset at Bashley.Wiltshire captain Ed Young’s unbeaten run-a-ball 103 was the centrepiece of his side’s innings before Oli Soames kept Dorset in the hunt with 67.

Durham batsman Cameron Steel is in line to make his National Counties debut for Wiltshire in their opening National Counties Trophy local derby against Dorset at Bashley Rydal CC. Steel, who has a first-class double century to his name, is currently on loan at Hampshire but, as they have no match on Sunday, he has been included in Wiltshire’s squad for the Group Two match.
