Regional hockey leagues have informed members clubs that new International Hockey Federation (FIH) rules will not be implemented mid-season.
The men's West of England & South Wales Hockey League issued a statement saying: “In recent weeks, the FIH has announced some changes to the Rules of Hockey with effect from 1st January 2015.

Gloucester Rugby have confirmed signing exciting New Zealand international second row Jeremy Thrush from the Hurricanes for next season.
Auckland-born lock Thrush, 29, has been capped 11 times for the All Blacks and was part of the Kiwis recent UK Tour Squad.

Free scoring centre Jonathan Joseph has renewed his contract at Bath Rugby committing his future to the second placed Aviva Premiership championship chasers.
Joseph, 23, has already scored seven tries in 15 games so far this season.
