It's free to see national Premier Korfball League action in Bristol today as Bristol Thunder host South London's long established Bec Korfball Club at Bristol Grammar School (1430).Tooting-based Bec were founded in 1948 and celebrated their 70th anniversary last year.
Bristol Thunder was founded in 2011 by a group of ex-Bristol University players.
From humble beginnings as the newest korfball club in Bristol, Thunder has quickly expanded into the largest korfball club in the South West.
Korfball is an eight-a-side mixed gender sport with elements of basketball, netball and handball which originates from the Netherlands.
Played by teams of four females and four males, korfball is a fast-growing team sport which boasts expanding national and regional leagues.
