As in real life there are always those whose egos come to the fore and ahead of the team.
In sport we only have to support who we wish.
Here at South West Sports News we want to do our utmost to encourage a selfless approach and create a selfless level playing field.
We want to promote as many sports as possible via this website, a slow process in comparison to the immediacy of social media - and in particular - our popular uber fast twitter feed.
Thanks to twitter we can relay up-to-the-minute futsal, handball or korfball full times, let people know where they can join a local American football rookie camp, or play bowls, baseball, water polo or women's football.
The possibilities are endless.
Am sure if you are reading this you know the score.
You will also know we promote the more popular sports - rugby, football, cricket, hockey, golf, netball - but on our extensive playing field there is ample room for all-comers. We are only limited by our imagination.
As a newcomer you will be warmly welcomed.
Our aim is to give regional community sports clubs the opportunity to attract new players/members/supporters by spreading their word as far as we are able.
It really is that simple.
No more, no less.
The rest is up to you and just how proactive you want to be...
