Exeter Chiefs fans will wake up to the welcome news that highly rated Argentinian fly half Ignacio Mieres has penned a new two-year deal to stay at Sandy Park.
The popular 24-year-old’s contract with the peninsula’s top rugby club was due to run-out this summer but Mieres has signed a new contract extension.
Mieres has become established as Exeter's first-choice No.10 and leading scorer, amassing 240 points in 22 appearances this term while producing a string of impressive displays that have made him one of the Aviva Premiership's rising stars.
The Beunos Aires born fly half - who can be seen above in the SWSN rolling gallery pictured by Phil Mingo at Pinnacle - joined Rob Baxter's Exeter revolution from Argentine club Deportivo Francesca in October 2010.
