Chiefs six in Six Nations squad, first call-up for Thorley

England Rugby red roseSix Exeter Chiefs are included in Eddie Jones initial 35-strong England Six Nations squad preparing to face defending champions Ireland in Dublin on February 2 (1645ko).

Forwards Luke Cowan-Dickie, Ben Moon and Harry Williams are selected along with Ollie Devoto, Henry Slade and fit-again Jack Nowell.

Bath back Joe Cokanasiga is selected along with a first time call for Gloucester winger Ollie Thorley – as yet uncapped.

The 22-year-old has made 39 appearances for the Cherry and Whites and was a World Rugby U20s Championship winner with England in 2016.

Bristol-born Leicester Tigers prop Ellis Genge, 23, is also include in England’s 35, who travel to Portugal for warm weather training next Wednesday.

A matchday squad of 25 is set to depart for Dublin on Thursday January 31.
