PLYMOUTH ALBION RFC Dawe sticks with winning XV

It means full home debuts for Devon-born Billy Searle and Cameron Thompson, who played the full 80 minutes at Blaydon as Albion claimed their first league away win in 19 months.

“We have stressed all week about backing up a win with another good performance,” said Albion director of rugby Graham Dawe.

“What we’re looking for is to be consistent with our performances and being able to pick the same XV is hopefully going to help.”

The only change Albion make is on their bench where fit-again Robin Wedlake takes over from teenage scrum-half Jack Maunder.

Cinderford will be seeking to bounce back from a 43-20 home defeat by Richmond.

Like many clubs around the country, Albion have moved their kick off forward to 2pm so as not to clash with the Rugby World Cup semi-final.

“We do live in hope that we will get a good crowd,” said Dawe. “It is the World Cup semi-final but we are kicking off at two to try and combine our match with that.”
