Cinderford RFC second row forward Angus Hodges leads Gloucestershire in a must-win National Under 20 Championships game against Devon at his home club on Sunday (1430ko).
The University of Gloucestershire student will be hoping his county U20 team-mates survive Saturday’s league games as defeat to Devon will see Gloucestershire fail to reach the knock-out stages for the first time.
Gloucestershire U20s coach Ben Woods will drill into his side they have to win and by a comfortable margin to put them in pole position to advance from pool 3 as Devon host Cornwall in their outstanding tie at Ivybridge RFC on Sunday January 25.
The Gloucestershire side shows a handful of changes from that defeated 34-21 by Cornwall in autumn.
