BATH RUGBY Barkley starts farewell game at fly half

Bath Rugby logoOlly Barkley starts his final game for Bath at fly-half against Sale Sharks in the Aviva Premiership tomorrow (Recreation Ground ko 1415).

Barkley - set to team up with Top 14 side Racing Metro 92 – has amassed over 230 appearances in Bath’s blue, black and white, scoring over 2160 points.

Stephen Donald switches to inside centre.

Dave Attwood makes his first start of the season in the second row.

Barkley, 30, said: "The task for me now is to just concentrate on the game. It’s a big occasion for me and my family, but most important is getting four points.

“We need to get back on the horse after losing the last two on the bounce. It’s not about me leaving, it’s about the four points, and if I can say goodbye having helped the team to a win, then I’ll be happy.”

Barkley was raised in Cornwall and attended Wadebridge School before continuing his education at Colston's School, Bristol.
