PREMIERSHIP PREVIEW Tight at top as 2020 kicks off

Gallagher Premiership logoExeter Chiefs ended 2019 top of the Gallagher Premiership Rugby pile but in the first round of the New Year it is anyone’s guess which four teams will contest the semi-finals in June.

Chiefs are top by a point from Northampton Saints while third placed Gloucester Rugby and eighth placed Harlequins are separated by a single point.

That means that Round 8 could have major consequences and it all gets underway tonight as Sale Sharks host Harlequins at the AJ Bell Stadium live on BT Sport (1945ko).

On Saturday Bristol Bears travel to Leicester Tigers for a 1300 kick-off, before the BT Sport cameras bring you a Westcountry derby as Gloucester welcome Bath Rugby to Kingsholm (1500).

Also kicking off at three on Saturday are Saracens and Worcester Warriors, who meet at Allianz Park.

Round 8 then concludes with two Sunday games as London Irish host leaders Exeter Chiefs (1430) before BT Sport bring you all the action as Northampton Saints travel to the Ricoh Arena to take on Wasps (1500).
