BRISTOL RUGBY Combination at Thornbury celebration

Thornbury RFC logoBristol Combination make a rare appearance at Thornbury RFC today to bring the curtain down on the South Gloucestershire club’s jubilee 50 celebrations (1330).

In days gone by playing for the Bristol Combination XV was in many cases the highest level of representative rugby local players could strive to attain. It was a genuine honour.

In these days of intense league rugby the Bristol Combination rarely have the opportunity to play so they will welcome today's Rockhampton Road run-out.  

The Combination team is set to feature players from junior clubs in Bristol. They will provide Thornbury with very tough opposition.

The match is preceded by a curtain raiser between Thornbury and Cleve under 10s, kick off 1200.
