The 29-year-old centre or wing is one of two new captures confirmed by the Channel Islanders as they seek to preserve their status in English rugby's second tier following promotion last term.

Jersey have also signed Connacht wing Mark McCrea.

Foster - who started his career at Gloucester - has scored 20 tries in 59 Exeter appearances.

Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter said: "Fozzie's gone with our blessing until the end of the season, should we need him we will be able to get him back and hopefully with good game minutes under his belt."
