Brixham's National 3 South West rugby fixture at Oxford Harlequins today has been washed out.
The postponement was confirmed by the Oxford club last night as heavy rain fell on the Quins frozen North Hinksey Lane pitch.
An early decision was taken to prevent Devon's Fishermen from making a wasted journey east.
Quins publicity officer Roger King confirmed the postponement saying: "The decision to call the game off was made just after eight o'clock because of heavy rain causing the pitch to flood.
"We have had temperatures of eight below for the past two nights so the pitch was frozen solid before the rains."
