Exmouth top National Three South West on points difference at the halfway stage of the league season.
The Cockles claimed maximum points following a 67-12 victory over basement side Maidenhead at the Imperial Recreation Ground.
Pace setters London Irish Wild Geese slipped to second and their first defeat of the season, 25-17 in a top of the table clash at third placed Weston-super-Mare.
Newton Abbot edged the Devon derby 31-27 at Brixham after taking the lead for the first time with a 75th minute converted try at Astley Park.
Barnstaple secured their fourth home win of the season 19-16 over Old Patesians at Pottington Road. Old Pats claimed a losing bonus point with a late converted try.
Avonmouth Old Boys – who beat Oxford Harlequins 33-7 - and Chippenham, 64-26 victors over Malvern, both returned to winning ways at home.
Fifth placed Redingensians won 20-17 at Amersham & Chiltern thanks to a late penalty clincher.
