Wace is ace as Plymouth College claim win XV

Unbeaten Plymouth College beat King's College Taunton 49-10 in South West A round six of the Daily Mail RBS Under 18 Cup.

The Devon side have won all 15 competitive matches this season, placing them in the top three schools' first XVs in the country.

England under 18 fly half Henry Slade - an Academy player at Exeter Chiefs - put the home side ahead with two successful penalty kicks, one from 50 yards.

King's countered to make it 6-3 before sustained Plymouth pressure resulted in a 40 metre run-in for George Stephenson with the extras added by Slade from out wide.

Further tries from Ollie Wace and Josh Tolan extended Plymouth's lead and a drop goal from distance by rock solid full back Charlie Attis put the home side 28-3 ahead at half-time.

King's came out strongly in the second half and had most of the territory and possession in the first 20, though unable to translate pressure into points.

Plymouth scored a further three tries with Ollie Wace completing his hat trick and Stephenson adding another.

King's refusal to lie down was rewarded when their right wing raced under the sticks from 60 metres following a successful interception.

Plymouth's forward dominance was a big factor with lineout targets Will Dickinson and Tom Clenaghan in top form.

Jack Norris again had a very strong game at open side while the pack showed a great collective work rate.
