The men’s first team face University of Nottingham in the British Universities & Colleges Sports quarter-finals at the water-based University Sports Park (1500).

Olly Deasy’s greens are in winning home form heading into the tie.

They continued their EHL Men’s Premier Division warm-up with a 3-0 win over ambitious Conference East side Wimbledon with goals from Tom Carson (2, pictured) and Rob Mugridge.

Saturday's win followed another friendly success, 2-1 against former Conference West adversaries Havant.

Exeter top the 2012 BUCS Premier South championship with a seven wins from seven record.

Today’s KO cup winners will face either defending champions Loughborough or Nottingham Trent in the semi finals at Beeston on February 22.

In the BUCS women’s hockey quarter finals Exeter face familiar foe, Loughborough, who knocked them out of the competition at the same stage last season.

Exeter top the Premier South table with seven wins but know that Loughborough – beaten 3-0 by University of Birmingham in last season’s final – will provide another stern challenge.

Exeter warmed up for today’s home tie (University Sports Park, 1300) with a 7-0 home win over Brunel last Wednesday and will be buoyed by a 5-4 home win over University of Nottingham in the first round of the knockout competition.

Nottingham are second in the Premier North table, Loughborough, fourth with two wins from six matches.
