Plymouth Marjon chase their highest West Clubs Womens League finish this weekend as the season comes to a dramatic conclusion.
Hannah Martin’s side are third in the table after hitting Firebrands 2 for six, 6-2 away, to move back up into third place in Premier One.
Now Martin’s side face a double header with 10th placed Cheltenham visiting UCP Marjon on Saturday (1400) before a Sunday trip to play eighth placed Swindon in a rescheduled league match, Plymouth’s final Premier One game of the season.
Both sides have hit form before playing Plymouth with Cheltenham winning 4-1 at basement side Redland last time out while Swindon recorded an eye-catching goalless draw at promotion-chasing leaders Gloucester.
Plymouth know one win will be enough to clinch third spot but will be anxious to finish the season as they started it with two wins from two.
Clifton 2 face a cross-city derby against Bristol rivals Firebrands 2.
Against Brands, player of the match Giselle Ansley (2), Cheryl Harding (2), Robynne Honey and Becky Hart - who had her shooting boots on - scored for Plymouth.
In the women’s South Division, Plymouth Marjon A won 3-0 at basement side Plym Valley with goals from in form Ellie Griffiths (2) and Esme Ansley.
They conclude their programme at home to West Devon rivals Tavistock on Saturday (UCP Marjon 1230).
