James Frost settled OPM nerves with the opening goal and then coolly teed up Simpson-Scott to make it 2-0 at half time.
Hot shot Simpson-Scott then crashed in a second half hat-trick to take his season’s tally to 33 in total and 26 in South Two.
Victory means OPM finish second in the table to champions University of Exeter C but two points clear of third placed Camborne School of Mines, 5-1 winners at eighth placed Plymouth Marjon B.
OPM club captain Jason Sweby was understandably delighted by Saturday's promotion-clinching victory.
Sweby said: "Since I have been here - over 10 years - we have bounced up and down between South Two and South West One but never been in South One. This is a giant step forward for the club."
