Clifton Ladies Hockey Club resume their Investec Women's Premier campaign at East Grinstead today (1330).
Aileen Davis’ Bristol side begin the second half of the national league season on the road and seeking to get back on course for a top four spot.
Saints Hill Road could not be a better place to start 2016 for Davis' team as hosts East Grinstead moved above Clifton – and Holcombe - into fourth place on the last day before the mid-season midwinter break.
Clifton will travel with confidence following a 3-0 home win over EG in mid-November.
The Bristol blues followed up with a 3-2 win over Bowdon Hightown but went into the break reeling from a 3-1 home loss to resurgent Reading.
It’s two weeks in a row on the road for Clifton, who visit basement side Buckingham Ladies Hockey Club on Saturday February 13.
Bristol Firebrands, who recently played a warm-up friendly against top Premier side University of Birmingham, resume their Conference West campaign at home to leaders Sutton Coldfield at Failand (1200).
Brands are ninth in the 10-team Women’s West Conference four points above basement side University of Bristol and just a point behind eighth placed Olton & West Warwicks, who restart at fifth placed Oxford Hawks.
University of Bristol face a tough resumption against fourth placed Gloucester City (1300) at Coombe Dingle while University of Exeter based Isca host Southampton side Trojans, who were due to warm-up against Firebrands last weekend.
Swansea Spartans - who start the day third - resume with a top of the table clash at second placed Stourport (1430).
