Exeter-based Exe can clinch the West Clubs Women's Hockey League title with a win at Plymouth Marjon tonight under lights at University of St Mark & St John (1915).
Exe – relegated from the England Hockey League last season – are poised for a quick return to Women's Conference West.
Tonight's penultimate Premier One fixture has been quickly organised following the 42nd minute abandonment of Saturday's match at Plymouth due to a heavy thunder and hail storm, with Exe leading 2-0.
• Clifton Ladies - boosted by the return of Liz Sinton - appear to have settled on a venue for Sunday's Investec Women's Cup semi-final at home to England Hockey League Premier rivals Sutton Coldfield.
The match will take place at Clifton College Sports Ground at 1230 – see fixtures for full details.
• A 21st goal of the season for free scoring skipper Claire Thomas and Taryn Beuthin’s 12th goal from open play helped Isca University secure Women’s Conference West runners-up spot following a 2-1 penultimate round home win over Barnes Hounslow Ealing.
