WOMEN'S GOLF Gloucestershire to the fore... again

Gloucestershire will again represent the region in the women's England Golf County Finals following yesterday's 5-4 win over hosts Devon at Woodbury Park.
Gloucestershire's win – their fourth of the week – meant they have built up an unassailable position at the South West Inter Counties Match Week summit as Devon, who beat Cornwall and Wiltshire on the opening two days, suffered a surprise 5-4 defeat to Dorset on Wednesday.
Gloucestershire - skippered by Jan Pickersgill - beat Cornwall 5-4 following a 6 ½-2 ½ opening round win over Wiltshire and a 7-2 day two victory over Somerset.
It is the third year in a row Gloucestershire Ladies have topped the women's South West counties leader board and won through to the national final.
The 2013 England Golf Women's County Finals take place at Wilmslow from September 16-20.
