• The 2012 West Region PGA Cornish Festival continues at Newquay, St Enodoc and Trevose today and tomorrow.

The annual Festival started yesterday.

• Player-captain Adam Bridgewater is one of four Yelverton players in the Devon team for Sunday's 2012  Channel League fixture against Gloucestershire at the Moorland course (0900 start).

• Top young golfers from the region are competing in the 2012 Peter McEvoy Trophy at Copt Heath today and tomorrow.

2011 Boys champion Harrison Greenberry and his Exeter club mate Ryan Pope are among four Devon juniors competing in the 72 hole boys open stroke play event.

They are joined by Harry Flower (Woodbury Park) and Dan Rosevear (Yelverton) as well as Somerset’s Jamie Clare (Burnham & Berrow) and Tom Sloman (Taunton & Pickeridge).

The 72-strong field also includes Gloucestershire’s Jordan Williams (Henbury) and Glamorgan’s Oliver Dickson (Pennard).
