University of Exeter A remain top of the men’s regional Davis Wood Hockey League following a 7-0 Premier One inter-club win over their B team on Saturday.
Ed Carson (3) Daf Bury, Josh Godfrey, Simon Tyson and Matthew Laidman scored for the A team.
Promotion favourites Firebrands remain neck and neck with the leaders, mirroring the table topping students’ 7-0 win by beating Cardiff University at Clifton College.
Brands scorers were Rufus McNaught-Barrington (3) Danny Nicoll (2) and Grant Armstrong (2).
Simon Fenwick also hit the hat-trick trail, with four goals for Plymouth Marjon as they beat Taunton Vale 5-2 to move up to fourth on the back of a three-match win streak.
Robinsons remain third following their 6-3 win at ECV Hornets, who beat Devizes by the same score yesterday.
