The EGU has invited 21 players under the age of 18 to form its boys training squad for the winter months and 2012, many of whom have already represented England at international level.

The squad includes Exeter's Greenberry and Burnham & Berrow's Clare (pictured) runner-up in this year's English Amateur Championship and South West Schools champion, as well as Worlebury's Pearson.

Greenberry won the British title at Burnham & Berrow in August, edging out Lincolnshire’s Patrick Kelly at the 37th hole. That victory helped Greenberry top the 2011 Titleist/FootJoy EGU Boys Order of Merit while he also represented GB&I against the Continent of Europe in the Jacques Leglise Trophy.
