Torquay United boss Chris Hargreaves has swooped to sign Spurs' highly-rated England Under 19 striker Shaquile Coulthirst on loan until the end of the season.
The Gulls moved swiftly to beat yesterday’s transfer deadline after not renewing a loan deal with Notts County target man Enoch Showunmi, who has joined play-off chasing Plymouth Argyle on loan.
Hackney-born Coulthirst, 19, scored a stunning hat-trick against Barcelona in a youth competition and made his Tottenham debut in the UEFA Europa League earlier this season. He also scored while on loan at Leyton Orient at the start of the year.
Coulthirst is set to start for United at Southend tomorrow.
