WESTERN LEAGUE Postponement hat-trick for Ivybridge

Ivybridge Town suffered a third successive postponement when last night's Western Premier Devon derby at home to Brixham fell victim to a waterlogged pitch.

It follows two blank Saturdays for Ivybridge with matches at home to Wellington and away to Nailsea and Tickenham also being washed off.

Ivybridge now face a hectic run-in to the end of the season with six home league matches still to be completed in addition to hosting the Devon County St Luke’s Bowl semi-final against either Bideford or Plymouth Argyle.

The Ivies are hoping for an improvement in the weather so they can stage their home fixture against Ilfracombe on Saturday (March 1). It will be their first match since a 2-1 home win over Paulton Rovers on February 8.
