MUSLIC REACTION following Argyle defeat by champions

Plymouth Argyle boss Miron Muslic expressed his pride as relegated Plymouth Argyle pushed Championship champions Leeds United all the way at Home Park in the final game of the season.

United won 2-1 thanks to a stoppage time winner from star player Manor Solomon.

Muslic said: “I am very proud.

“We faced today by far the best team in our division and gave another good performance.

“It showed good spirit and character of the lads yet again even though we are relegated. We are Plymouth Argyle we play for the Green Army.

“We simply went all in and wanted to produce another memorable performance.

“We came 120 seconds from getting something against the best team in our league.

“Congratulations to Daniel Farke and Leeds for an outstanding performance throughout the season and winning the league.

“Bundu has been brilliant his development in the past four months has been outstanding and he is getting the rewards with the goals.

“I am very disappointed we got relegated, and now I feel empty.

“I have my energy as soon as I think Green Army, they gave us so much in a super challenging season.

“I don’t think you see this kind of support across the football world.

“It’s rare. Their effort over the past four months was mind-blowing.

“Now I need to go back to my family and recharge.”
