Opening SW fixtures in new-look National League South

There will be increased South West non-league football interest in new-look National League South for the 2017-18 season – especially after today’s fixtures were announced.
Newly promoted Chippenham Town FC will start the season at home to Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday August 5.
Mark Collier's Bluebirds won’t have long to wait for a national league derby as they visit Bath City FC on Tuesday August 8.
Gary Owers’ Romans face an opening day trip to promoted Bognor Regis Town before hosting Chippenham at Twerton Park under lights.
Gloucester City AFC kick off their National League South campaign away to Chelmsford City.
Tim Harris’s Tigers – who finished 10th in National League North last season before their summer “transfer” – host Truro City FC on Monday August 7. Gloucester will ground share with Southern League 1 SW Evesham United this season.
Lee Hodges’ Truro kick off the new season at home to Welling United.
Weston-super-Mare AFC – who have just appointed Marc McGregor as manager – will also start at home.
The Seagulls host the Dolphins as Tommy Killick’s Poole Town FC are opening day visitors to Winterstoke Road.
There is also a quick turnaround for McGregor’s Weston as they visit Hungerford Town on Monday August 7.
Poole's first home game of the season is against the Rocks - Bognor Regis - on Tuesday.
