Plenty of south-west football to go out and watch tonight topped by League One action at Exeter City and Yeovil Town.
Terry Skiverton’s Yeovil host Milton Keynes Dons (Huish Park) seeking to build on Saturday’s Gavin Williams-inspired 3-1 home win over Oldham Athletic.
Paul Tisdale’s City side are at home to Brentford (St James Park). The injury-hit Grecians were beaten 2-0 at home by MK Dons on Saturday.
In League Two, Mark Yates’ Cheltenham Town seek back to back wins when they host Morecambe (Whaddon Road) following Saturday’s 1-0 derby win over Swindon.
Torquay United target man Rene Howe will be trying to make it three goals in three league games as Martin Ling’s Gulls visit Aldershot off the back of a 2-1 win at Bristol Rovers’ Memorial Stadium.
Tonight Paul Buckle’s Rovers – one of the pre-season favourites for promotion – are at home to the side that won 1-0 at Aldershot on Saturday, Northampton Town, managed by former Bristol City and Yeovil Town boss Gary Johnson.
Peter Reid’s young Plymouth Argyle side host popular Football League newcomers AFC Wimbledon, 2-0 winners at Dagenham on Saturday.
Argyle took the lead against early pace setters Rotherham on Saturday at Home Park following a 19-pass move, finished exquisitely by new on-loan Hull City winger Will Atkinson (pictured).
The young greens conceded within three minutes and naively struggled to maintain composure and shape without injured influential skipper Carl Fletcher, eventually succumbing 4-1. Fletcher (thigh) and Robbie Williams (heel) are both ruled out tonight.
All tonight's matches kick off at 1945.
