Torquay United will play Stevenage in the League Two play off final at Old Trafford on Saturday May 28 (1500).
Paul Buckle's Gulls drew 0-0 at Shrewsbury tonight to record a 2-0 aggregate win over Town while Stevenage won 1-0 at Accrington Stanley for a 3-0 aggregate success.
Post-match Buckle was full of praise for 786 travelling supporters who cheered his side through to the final throughout tonight's second leg at the New Meadow.
Those same fans will now be hoping that United can win promotion to League One in their final game of an extended season.
United had the better opportunities to score with on-loan Shrewsbury forward Jake Robinson and on-loan Dageneham striker Gavin Tomlin close to breaking the deadlock.
Damon Lathrope had an outstanding night in midfield infront of a back five that kept another clean sheet and in which twin towers Chris Robertson and Guy Branston proved unbeatable.
New meadow attendance 8,452.
