Plymouth boss John Sheridan praised his young side and Argyle's self-proclaimed green army following a crucial comeback win over relegation rivals Barnet at Home Park.
Sheridan said: "Barnet scored against the run of play and in the position we are in we could have let our heads drop but instead of that we rose."
Argyle's 22-year-old Irish skipper Conor Hourihane cancelled out Jake Hyde's 21st minute opener with a cracking 25 yard drive into the top corner to make it 1-1 at half time.
Irish eyes were smiling again in the 48th minute as on-loan Ipswich Town forward Ronan Murray's first Argyle goal, from 10 yards, put Sheridan's young greens ahead.
Sheridan said: "Conor got a great goal to get us back in it and then Ronan has got his goal, which pleased me because he's been great since he's been here. He's been in and out of the team but still kept his head down and today he got his reward. The whole team did. I thought we backed off a little bit after we scored but then we finished strongly and obviously I am delighted we are off the bottom.
"It's only one game, one win but when you are bottom of the league and you get 8,000 plus fans in then it's nice to get the three points for them.
"The fans are brilliant aren’t they? I’ve been here six or seven weeks, and the support we get is unbelievable for a club who are bottom of the league.
“I’ve played at some big clubs like Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday, where they have massive support, but these are phenomenal for me. It's scary."
Argyle keeper Jake Hyde made a crucial stop to deny Bees sub Iffy Allen on 79 minutes, leaving Barnet player-coach Edgar Davids to rue: "The team won that wanted it most. They didn't play much better than us but they wanted it more than we did and were first to every second ball."
The win edges Argyle off the basement, above AFC Wimbledon, beaten 2-1 at promotion chasing Cheltenham.
