ROBINS SOAR TO TOP OF TABLE

Bideford soared level top of Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South & West following last night’s 1-0 win at Cinderford.

Kevin Squire scored the 59th minute winner, as Sean Joyce’s Robins racked up their third win in a row to join leaders Hungerford Town on 35 points from 15 matches.

Tiverton Town bounced back from 1-0 down to beat Clevedon 2-1 at Ladysmead and climb to 11th on the back of their third win in four unbeaten league matches.

Tom Gardner claimed the 73rd minute winner after striker Michael Nardiello’s 45th minute goal cancelled out Leigh Edwards-Samuels’ 38th minute opener.

Paulton Rovers moved up to fifth following their 1-0 win at ninth placed Poole Town.

Steve Bridges scored Paulton’s 29th minute winner in front of a 256 crowd.

Weymouth were held to a 2-2 Premier Division home draw by Swindon Supermarine, who scored a stoppage time leveller.
